Lia: There's a grocery store near my house that has unnecessary " " in their grocery cart policy posted outside (the "we're not responsible for our carts hitting your car" message). I keep meaning to go over there at night with a white marker and take the grammar & syntax rules into my own hands.
And also, ha ha(!) on the article you linked to.
I must admit that I use a lot of commas--but they're always where they're supposed to be. I use no extraneous commas. I just happen to write really, really long sentences (though more for school purposes than for blogging), and without the commas, no one would be able to follow along. Not even me.
And did you "know" the Onion also has videos? I'm "behind the times" and only found out "recently."

That wasn't even one of my pet peeves, but oh, how "annoying". It is now "rising" to the level of "pet peeve".
No, wait. How about, "pet peeve?"
This, is, one of my pet peeves. Also . . .

lia--that onion article is hilarious.
rr--I'm so happy that found that website! I for one do not ever want to eat at that restaurant pictured that serves "tacos."
I "love" quotation marks.
So sue me. :P
