Do it. Your co-workers will thank you.
In other news, third graders from the local elementary school toured city hall today, and I welcomed them into my office, giant aerial map in hand, eager to talk about planning. The first question out of their mouths? They wanted to know why my office is so messy.
At least they didn't ask me how old I am or how much I'm paid, which is what two lucky co-workers were asked.

I never realized how much I talk to myself until I had interns. Now I am very aware that I talk to myself quite often. My interns mock me.
We keep our interns in a separate part of the office. I used to think this was inconvenient, as there's no phone where they office, so if I want or need to talk with them, I have to put some effort into it. But after reading your comment, I'm glad they aren't so close to me. Thanks for making me feel better! Sorry to hear that your interns mock you. Does that mean everyone in the office mocks you, or are there still some hold-outs?
Apparently, I am mock prone. I am pretty sure it is genetic. Or at least some sort of personality trait that I can't do anything about. Like having blue(ish) eyes or bad veins. I'm just special that way...
